All of our products are people & pet safe when used as directed. We use no synthetic chemicals. Our products are made of premium organic whole food, so make sure when applying dry fertilizer to scratch it into the soil and water it in well to prevent your pet from being attracted to it. For liquids, we recommend keeping your pet away when applying, then let the application dry before letting your dog or child onto the treated area. Just like vitamins, our products are safe, but too much of a good thing can cause an upset stomach, so be sure to monitor your pet should they ingest a large amount.

Everything we make at Dr. Earth is 100% organic. Prop65 is listed on all our products. The reason we do this is because all organic ingredients contain traces of lead and other metals that are listed under Prop65. We put this marking on our products to be transparent, even though the level of lead in our products is far lower than the requirements by Prop65.  All our products are safe.

LIQUID FERTILIZER QUESTIONS

No worries! What you are seeing is mycelium / mycorrhizae and that is a good thing that means your soil is alive! It is not bad mold. When using a liquid fertilizer, mold may occur on the soil surface a few days after application if applied indoors and temperatures are consistently warm. To avoid the potential for mold, make sure you water the fertilizer well into the soil and allow it to dry out between watering's. Consistent moisture causes many fungal problems. This is normal as the mold develops to break down the fertilizer, NOT to eat plants roots and harm them. To get rid of the unsightly mold, scratch the soil surface so it can breathe and dry, and stop watering for a couple of days until the soil dries out. Put the plant in a shady area outdoors for a couple of days to dry if mold has developed. Dry soil does not support mold growth. Consistent moisture is the perfect environment for mold growth.

Our liquid fertilizer concentrates reach the highest level of sustainability of any fertilizer in the world! This is accomplished by utilizing break through science to convert human grade organic food scraps from grocery stores into highly effective premium liquid fertilizers. It is estimated that grocery stores in the United States discard about 10% of their food inventory every single week, resulting in more than 133 billion pounds of food being discarded annually. Food waste is one of America’s largest environmental challenges, accounting for roughly one-fifth of the solid waste in landfills nationwide. But there is a way to take what would have been food waste from the supermarket industry and convert it into renewable energy for plants in the form of carbon-rich fertilizer. Our carbon-rich liquid fertilizers are packed with Amino Acids, Fulvic Acid, Micronutrients, and Macronutrients. University studies and field trials strongly suggest that these liquid fertilizers provide exceptional results. Upcycling large volumes of would-be food waste into premium, organic fertilizer has many benefits and reduces the carbon footprint of the grocery-store-to-landfill cycle. The dream of a zero-waste, modern society is finally taking shape, and real-world problems are being solved with bold, innovative solutions. Everything you would feed your family, can be used to feed plants, saving the world and make it a better place at the same time.

Best time to spray is early AM or late afternoon (4PM) on a warm, sunny day. When you have a lot of rain, try to apply when plants are not soaking wet so that you coat the plants and it has time to dry. Make sure to spray under side of leaves of plants, especially when it has been raining as that is where insects like to hide and lay eggs. You can reapply as often as you like. Be sure to shake well before and during use for maximum control.

PREMIUM SOIL QUESTIONS

Our potting soil does not expire. If you are planning on not using it for a long period of time, storing it in a bucket with a closed lid is a good way to keep it from getting bugs or just simply use a chip clip.

DRY FERTILIZER QUESTIONS

Yes, it is mainly for the Trubiotic Inside, but if it has not been open and kept in a fair environment (extreme heat/cold), they will last for years past that date.

If un-opened it will be fine for several years.

Mix 2 pounds, or 1 cup for every 1 gallon of water. Let the mixture set for 24 hours. Strain well and mulch all the solids around the root zone. The liquid portion (tea) can be applied at 1 to 2 cups for shrubs, or 2 to 4 cups for larger plants. Use full strength to foliar feed & for deep root feeding of all plants.
